LAS VEGAS — The Cleveland Cavaliers dropped to 2-2 in Summer League play after losing to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday afternoon.
As is the case with much of what happens at Summer League, the things that happen on the floor are more important than what the scoreboard says. Wednesday’s game was a great example of that.
In a game in which Jaylon Tyson didn’t play for the Cavs, Tyrese Proctor was able to take on a bigger role and thrive, piling up 35 points in the 94-86 loss to the Kings. This game was the type of exclamation point that gives reason to believe that Cavaliers may have found a difference maker with the No. 49 overall selection.
