Adversity has arrived for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Trailing the Indiana Pacers 1-0 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Cavs will potentially be missing three of their five best players in Tuesday night’s Game 2.

Darius Garland, who has not played in this series due to a left great toe sprain, may not be back for Game 2 and hasn’t played since Game 2 against the Miami Heat nearly two weeks ago. His absence was sorely felt in Game 1 against the Pacers.

On Monday afternoon Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson delivered more bad news, telling the media at Cleveland Clinic Courts that both Evan Mobley and De’Andre Hunter are now on the injury report after suffering injuries on Sunday night.

Hunter dislocated his right thumb on Sunday, Atkinson said, while Mobley sprained his left ankle.

Garland, Mobley and Hunter are all officially listed as questionable on the NBA’s injury report for Game 2. Mobley’s injury has been classified as a left ankle sprain while Hunter’s is a right thumb sprain.

Atkinson took issue with both plays that the players were injured on when asked about the health of the team entering Game 2 on Tuesday.
